2000 Toyota Tundra V6-34L. 2006 Toyota tundra I am having a problem with my trailer lights brake and turn signal work however taillights are not working. Interestingly I bought a lcd tester that you plug into the 4 pin connection it worked.
The trailer lights stopped working. However the stability control system remains operational at times when the truck is in 4x2 mode though many drivers will select the 4x4 mode in slippery conditions. If the signals are all correct coming out of the converter the problem is somewhere on the trailer.
If the signals are correct going into the box you know that the truck is not the problem. As of the 2010 model year this has been corrected. You would have to trace the harness under the dash down the kick panel and under the hood.
I hooked up a newer trailer to my Tundra for the first time everything worked fine for about ten minutes then turning off the freeway the turn signals did not work so I checked the 20amp fuse and it was ok. Left signal light stays lit on the dash and does not blink and is stuck on lit up when lights are lit. Disconnect your trailer but leave the cable hooked up and see if your lights work.
