2000 toyota tundra trouble code p0171. Bank 2 is simply the other bank. Its not the most complicated OBDII trouble code to diagnose. Bank 1 is the side of the engine or bank that the number 1 cylinder is on.
I am getting a PO171 engine code. I connected my scan tool and observed the fuel control and feedback PIDs. Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1.
2000 Toyota Tundra TRD 47. 2000 Toyota Tundra 34 P0171. I always just use CRC Mass Airflow sensor cleaner just make sure you dont touch the wires.
It was almost guaranteed that it was the O2 sensor. My 2000 has the same code for the last 6 months. Or maybe used your own OBD scanner to extract the car faults.
Ok this post on one of the Lexus forums made sense. 2000 Toyota Tacoma SR5. P0171 is a System Too Lean Bank 1 which is triggered by the first exhaust oxygen 02 sensor aka upstream 02 sensor on the Bank 1 side of the engine designated as whichever side has cylinder number one.
Oxygen Sensor The P0171 codes is thrown when the oxygen sensors do not register enough oxygen in the exhaust. Oftentimes this trouble code is accompanied by an P0174 This is one of the most common trouble codes in V-6 and larger engines. The P0171 is likely an outcome of the P1130.
